Tin Toy Museum: Mr. Kitahara collections of 3000 nostalgic Tin Toys from 1890s to the
1960s.
Yokohama Foreigners Cemetary: Hill-top cemetary for foreigners with a beautiful view of Yokohama Bay.
YAMASHITA PARK Area:
You can find ships at anchor, one of the most beautiful scenery of Port-Town
Yokohama.
Marine Tower: Build in 1961, commemorating the 100th anniversary of opening Yokohama
port to foreign trade.
Hikawa-maru ship: The ship has made a voyage throughout the Pacific Ocean as many as 30
years.
Yokohama Doll House Museum: 9000 collection of world's most precious dolls.
KANNAI Area:
This area, used to a foreigners settlement, remains the look of stores
and houses on a street at Meiji era's civilization and enlightment time.
Also, this is the first place in history that ICECREAM brought into Japan.
The same atomosphere has remained at authentic Bars and Restaurants since
they're established.
Yokohama Open Port Museum: Historical records and materials since the end of Edo era, when the Yokohama
port has been opened to foreign trade, until the Showa era are on display.
MINATO-MIRAI 21 Area:
International Cultral City Yokohama's Bay Area (see the picture above).
Making a beautiful contrast with the historical city Yamate and/or Kannnai,
Minato-Mirai 21 Area is now in development as a leading informational town
in 21st century.
Yokohama Museum of Art: Important arts of mainly 20th century are on display in this large building
which designed by Tange Kenzo, a Japanese famous architect.
Landmark Tower: If you talk about Yokohama, you may recall the Landmark Tower, which is
the most symbolic place in Yokohama
MOTOMACHI Area:
Most popular place in ladies/girls. The fashion of HAMATORA, which is an
abbreviation of YOKOHAMA TRADITIONAL, is said to have originated in Motomachi.
There are many old established stores, brands that have been loved for
many years.
SHIN-YOKOHAMA Area:
Shin Yokohama city used to have just one image that here has a big station
where Japanese Bullet Train stops. However, currently this city has been
developed and changed the atomosphere since large hotels were built in
recent years.
This city is still in development and expected to expand over the surrounding area. International studium, available for as much as an attendance of 70,000, also located in this area.
Shin Yokohama Ramen Museum: You can enjoy ramens from all over Japan. Moreover, you can experience
the history of Ramen.
Yokohama Arena: Famous for concerts/event/exhibition. Acoustics, lighting and seats for
the audience are controled by computer. |
